1. Who we are

This site is operated by Causey Audio ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at support@causeyaudio.com.

By using this website or buying anything from it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. What we sell

We sell digital audio software - plugins delivered as downloads, together with a licence key. Nothing is shipped physically. Product pages describe what each product does; screenshots and audio demos are representative, and the product you download is the product described.

3. Licence

Buying a Causey Audio product buys you a licence to use it, not ownership of the software itself.

The licence is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and personal to you or your business.
One licence key may be installed on up to 3 computers that you own or control.
You may use the software commercially. Music you make with it is entirely yours - we claim no rights over your output, and no royalties.
You may not share, resell, sublicense, rent, or publish your licence key.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or redistribute the software, or attempt to defeat its licensing.

We may terminate a licence that is being used in breach of these terms, or one attached to a payment that was refunded or successfully disputed.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in US dollars and, unless stated otherwise, exclude any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live. Any such tax is calculated at checkout and added to the total.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. Your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms as the payment processor.

We may change prices at any time. A price change never affects an order that has already been paid for.

5. Delivery

Delivery is automatic and immediate. Once payment clears, your licence key and download link are emailed to the address used at checkout, and the purchase appears in your account.

Download links expire after 48 hours and allow 5 downloads. Expired links can be refreshed free of charge from your account or by asking us. Your licence itself does not expire.

If your email has not arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then contact us.

6. Refunds

Digital purchases are final once the licence key has been issued, except where the law says otherwise. The full rules, including duplicate charges, faulty products, statutory withdrawal rights and chargebacks, are in the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Sales, discount codes & promotions

From time to time we run sales, issue discount codes, or offer bundles. Unless a specific promotion says otherwise in writing on this website, the following terms apply to all of them.

7.1 Eligibility

Promotions are open to anyone able to buy from this site, unless the offer states a restriction.
Promotions are not available to resellers or for purchase-for-resale.
Where a promotion is limited to new customers, "new customer" means an email address that has not previously completed a purchase with us.

7.2 How discounts apply

A discount code must be entered at checkout. We cannot apply a code after an order is placed, and we will not refund the difference on an order where a code was forgotten.
Only one discount code may be used per order. Codes do not stack with each other or with an existing sale price unless expressly stated.
Discounts apply to product prices only, never to any tax charged.
Codes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash or credit, and cannot be sold or transferred.

7.3 Duration and availability

Every promotion runs for a stated period and ends at 11:59pm US Central Time on the closing date, unless a different time is stated.
Orders are treated as placed when payment completes, not when the cart is filled. A promotion that ends while an order is in progress does not apply to it.
Promotions may be limited in quantity. Once the stated limit is reached, the offer closes even if the end date has not passed.
We may withdraw, extend, or amend a promotion at any time. Doing so never affects an order already completed under it.

7.4 Refunds on promotional purchases

A refunded promotional purchase is refunded at the price you actually paid, not the full list price.
Where a bundle is refunded, the whole bundle is refunded and all licences in it are deactivated. Individual items cannot be refunded out of a bundle.
A discount code consumed on a refunded order is not reissued.

7.5 Errors

If a promotion is published with an obviously incorrect price or discount - a pricing error, a typo, or a technical fault - we may cancel affected orders and refund them in full. We will tell you promptly if this happens, and you will never be charged more than the price you saw.

7.6 Free giveaways and competitions

Where we give a product away or run a competition, no purchase is necessary to enter, the winner is chosen as described in that specific offer, prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, and our decision on eligibility is final. Any additional rules will be published with the offer.

7.7 Misuse

We may cancel an order and void a discount where a code has been obtained or used in a way it was not intended for - for example, codes shared publicly that were issued privately, or repeated orders made to work around a per-customer limit.

8. Your account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under it. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access. You may close your account at any time by asking us; closing it does not revoke licences you have already bought.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use this site to break the law, to attack or overload the service, to scrape it in bulk, or to attempt to gain access to systems or data that are not yours. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe any of that is happening.

10. Support

Support is provided by email, phone, and the contact form, in English, Monday to Friday. It covers installation, licensing, and defects in our products. It does not extend to teaching general audio production or supporting third-party software.

11. Warranty and liability

We work hard to make our software correct and stable, and we will fix defects that are reported to us. Beyond that, the software is provided "as is" without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will suit any particular purpose you have in mind.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of a product is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost work, lost recordings, or lost profits. Back up your projects.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Intellectual property

The software, this website, and everything on it - text, images, audio demos, logos, and the Causey Audio name - belong to us and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not reuse them without permission, except for ordinary quotation and review.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business changes. The version in force is the one published here on the day you place an order, and the "last updated" date above tells you when it changed. Material changes will be noted on this page.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], United States, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
