Policy
Refund policy
Plain version: all sales are final. Plugins are delivered instantly and cannot be returned once bought. The exceptions - a duplicate charge, a product that does not work, and whatever rights the law where you live gives you - are set out below.
Last updated 15 August 2026
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers everything sold by Causey Audio ("we", "us"), including plugins and licence keys. Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who act as the merchant of record for the sale - they take the payment, handle any sales tax or VAT, and appear on your statement and receipt. We never see or store your card details.
If you bought a Causey Audio product from a reseller or a bundle site, their policy applies, not this one. Contact them first.
2. All sales are final
Plugins are digital products delivered immediately after purchase. Once the licence key has been issued there is nothing to return, and we do not offer refunds for change of mind, for buying the wrong product, or because a plugin did not suit a particular mix.
Please make sure the product is right for you before you buy. The system requirements and supported formats are listed on each product page, and if anything is unclear, ask us before ordering - we would much rather answer a question than take money for something you cannot use.
3. What we do still refund
"All sales final" is not a licence to keep money we should not have. We will always put these right:
- Duplicate or accidental charges. If you were billed twice for the same product, or a payment went through that you did not intend, tell us and we will refund the extra charge in full, however long ago it happened.
- A product that does not work. If a plugin is faulty, will not authorise, or does not do what this website said it does, contact us. We will fix it, and if it cannot be fixed we will refund it.
- Fraudulent charges. If your card was used without your permission, email us immediately. We will refund in full, cancel the licence, and give you whatever records your bank needs. You will not be asked to prove anything first.
4. Your legal rights
Nothing on this page removes rights the law gives you. Consumer protection law in your country may entitle you to a remedy regardless of what this policy says, and where it does, that law wins.
If you are in the UK or the EU, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content delivered immediately that right can be given up - and at checkout you will be asked to agree to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that you are waiving it. If you would rather keep the withdrawal right, do not tick that box; delivery will simply wait until the 14 days have passed.
Lemon Squeezy, as merchant of record, also operate their own refund terms, and they can issue a refund under those terms independently of this policy.
5. How to reach us about an order
- Email support@causeyaudio.com or use the contact form.
- Include your order number or the email address you bought with. The licence key works too.
- Tell us what went wrong. A sentence is enough.
We aim to reply within 2 business days. Where a refund is due under section 3, it is issued within 5 business days of us confirming it, back to the original payment method. Your bank then typically takes a further 5 to 10 business days to post it - that stretch is their timetable, not ours.
6. Payment disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us before contacting your bank. If something is genuinely wrong we will sort it out in days. A chargeback takes weeks, locks the funds while it runs, and leaves us unable to help you in the meantime.
Recognising the charge
Because Lemon Squeezy are the merchant of record, the charge on your statement will show as LEMONSQUEEZY.COM or similar rather than as Causey Audio. If you see something you do not recognise, email us with the date and amount and we will identify it for you.
If a dispute is upheld against us
Licence keys tied to a successfully disputed payment are deactivated, and we may decline future orders from that account. This is not punitive - the product simply has not been paid for.
7. What happens to your licence after a refund
Where a refund is issued for any reason, the licence key for that product is deactivated and you must uninstall the software and delete any copies. Continuing to use a plugin after being refunded for it is a breach of the licence terms.
8. Sale and promotional purchases
Where a refund is due under section 3, it is made at the price you actually paid. Discount codes are not reissued afterwards. See the promotions terms for the full rules.

This policy is written to be clear and fair, but it is not legal advice. Before you go live, have someone qualified in your jurisdiction read it - consumer law where your customers live may give them rights beyond what is written here.
