Help, and the story behind it
Causey Audio is one person. When you email, call, or fill in the contact form, you are talking to the same person who wrote the DSP, drew the interface, and packed the installer.
About
Over twenty years of Music, and a love for Math
I have been in the music industry for more than twenty years. That covers a lot of ground: playing, recording, engineering, mixing, hauling gear into rooms that were never meant to hold it, and sitting behind a desk at two in the morning trying to work out why a mix that sounded huge last night sounds thin today.
Two decades of that teaches you something you cannot get from a manual. You stop asking whether a piece of gear is accurate and start asking whether it makes the record better. You learn which knobs actually matter. You learn that most of the magic people credit to expensive boxes is really just a small amount of very specific distortion, applied at exactly the right place.
The math came first
Long before any of that, I was the kid who liked math. Not because anyone made me - I genuinely liked it. I liked that it was honest. A problem either worked out or it did not, and if it did not, the reason was in there somewhere waiting for you to find it. There was no arguing with it and no faking it, and I found that enormously satisfying.
It took me an embarrassingly long time to notice that audio is math. A transformer saturating, tape hysteresis, the way a class-A stage rounds a transient - all of it is describable. All of it can be written down. That realisation is the whole reason Causey Audio exists: the two things I have cared about most in my life turned out to be the same thing, approached from opposite ends.
Why plugins
I make plugins because they put the good stuff within reach of people who cannot spend forty thousand dollars on a rack.
The hardware I fell in love with is expensive, temperamental, and mostly locked inside studios that charge by the hour. A plugin is none of those things. It costs what a couple of pizzas cost, it never drifts out of calibration, it does not care what time it is, and it works the same for a kid in a bedroom as it does for a room with a console in it. That access matters to me more than anything else about this job.
The other reason is more selfish. Modeling a piece of gear means understanding it properly - not "this sounds warm", but why, and where in the signal path it happens, and what happens when you push it too far. Writing the code is how I stay curious about a craft I have been doing for twenty years. Every plugin starts with me measuring something, getting the answer wrong, and going back until the math and my ears agree.
That is the standard everything here is held to. If it does not measure right, it does not ship. If it measures right but sounds wrong, it also does not ship. BC Drive is the first one that cleared both bars.
This is your story to tell - edit any of this to match how you would actually say it.

Still stuck? Contact usWhere is my download?
Your download link and licence key are emailed straight after payment. If it has not arrived, check spam, then sign in to your account - every purchase is listed there.
My download link expired
Links expire after 48 hours and allow 5 downloads. Sign in to your account for a fresh link, or ask and I will reset it.

One licence key covers up to 3 machines that you own. If you replace a computer, just get in touch and I will free up the slot.
The plugin does not show up in my DAW
Rescan your plugin folder, and confirm the DAW is looking in the standard VST3 location. If it still hides, send me your DAW and OS version.
Can I get a refund?
